I have been working as Assistant professor in Chemistry at United International University from March 01, 2011 till now. Prior to this, I was Senior Lecturer from April 01, 2009 till February 28, 2011 and as Lecturer in Chemistry from 16th February, 2008 to March 31, 2009 at the same university. Moreover I worked as a part-time lecturer in Chemistry at the same university from spring, 2007 trimester to Fall, 2007 trimester.

M.S. thesis work was successfully completed in the area of chemistry of natural product under R&D project of Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Laboratories, Dhaka entitled “Isolation of Active Principles from Medicinal Plants of Bangladesh”. My dissertation entitled “Chemical and Biological Investigations of Spilanthes acmella has been submitted in the department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, University of Dhaka for the partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology.

I completed a project on evaluating the possibility of setting up a plant producing SODIUM CHLORIDE (EDIBLE SALT) which includes research into its history, properties, and production requirement in Bangladesh, selection of technology in context of Bangladesh, material balance, process economics, process control, quality control and pollution, hazards and safety aspects.

Underwent industrial training in following area as a part of the undergraduate degree: NOVARTIS (Bangladesh) LTD (1st June,2005 to 28th June, 2005)

Worked as a trainee in this factory to gather practical knowledge about Pharmaceutical Formulations, Quality Assurance, Utilities (water treatment), Environmental aspects, Research & Development, Maintenance and other aspects related to the factory. This was fulltime in-plant training and the whole processes and operations were thoroughly studied.

  • Usmania Glass Factory, Chittagong. Bangladesh.

These industries were visited to get acquainted with the respective chemical processes and unit operations, to build bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical fields.

 

Underwent industrial training at Training Institute For Chemical Industries (TICI), central training institute of BCIC,Norsighdi ,Bangladesh, as a part of the postgraduate degree during

18 August, 2007-13 September, 2007 on Industrial Process Unit Operation and Process Control Techniques.

Training Content :

Heat transfer and heat exchanger, Process drawings, Pump technology, Mechanical equipments, Lubrication, Boiler, Compression system, Industrial safety, Instrumentation, Water treatment, Industrial pollution and it’s management, Operation and application of Photometer & UV /Visible Spectrophotometer, IR Spectrophotometer, Gas Chromatography, HPLC, AAS.

 

A training course on Teaching-Learning, Curriculum and Quality Assurance was performed at Graduate Training Institute (GTI), Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh during 24 October, 2015 to 29 October, 2015.
