I would like to extend you my heartiest welcome to the Institute of Natural Sciences (INS) at United International University. Since its inception in 2006, INS has been playing a key role in the study of engineering and business. The foremost role of INS is to design and amend the syllabi of and to conduct the courses on Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics that are offered to the undergraduate students of the School of Sciences and Engineering.
This institute was founded in 2006 as an offshoot of UIU. INS is consisting of three disciplines of physical sciences: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, & Biology. These physical sciences deal with the truths of nature and the laws that govern the world. In INS, there are 10 high-profile active faculties of whom two are PhD holders. In addition, 18 faculty members of INS are on study leave in different well-recognized foreign universities. Besides, in each trimester, a number of well competent faculties from different public universities join the institute as adjunct faculties. INS has a history of providing quality education to the students. The teaching methods applied in INS show results of effectiveness and are supposed to undergo further improvement.
The world of Physics is fascinating in its aesthetic appeal, in its unifying nature, and after all the wonderful simplicity. It is the most basic and fundamental science which is crucial to the understanding of the world around us, the world inside us, and the world beyond us. Advances in physics often translate to the engineering sector, and sometimes influence the other sciences, as well as mathematics.
Chemistry is the study of the behavior of matter, formation of compounds, impact of chemical structure of a substance on its properties, investigation of energy changes. Electronics and communications have been completely transformed by technological advances in materials. As for examples, optical fiber instead of copper wire, devices using other new materials convert the light pulses to electrical signals and back, computer chips constructed from still other materials (e.g.Galliun-arsenide) process the signals etc.
Mathematics is the art of analysis, abstraction and application. It plays a pivotal role in the progress of society and its continued growth relies on the exchange and development of research ideas. Mathematics is an indispensable tool in many areas of study. This includes traditional areas of application such as economics, engineering and physics, but also emerging areas such as biostatistics and robotics.
Biology gives us the opportunity of Exploring the Living World. The apparent lack of general laws like Physics, or Chemistry would not shadow the beauty of Biology if you know where to look. The Biology course will help students understand the living world and the ways its many species (including humans) function, evolve, and interact. Advances in medicine, agriculture, biotechnology, and many other areas of Biology have brought improvements in the quality of life. Engineers have a vast world of knowledge ahead of them starting from cell biology to the complex immune system of human and reproduction of species in this course. The basic knowledge of biology course also gives students to apply them in real world problems.
